Giada De Laurentiis is an Italian American chef, entrepreneur, writer, and television personality. She was born on August 22, 1970, in Rome, Italy, to actress Veronica De Laurentiis and actor-producer Alex De Benedetti. Giada began her career as the host of Food Network's program called Giada at Home and has also appeared as a contributor and guest co-host on NBC's Today. She is the founder of the catering business GDL Foods and has won multiple awards, including the Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lifestyle Host and the Gracie Award for Best Television Host.
