Haley Joel Osment (born April 10, 1988) is an American actor known for his successful career as a child actor and his versatile performances. He gained recognition with his role in the comedy-drama film Forrest Gump (1994), which earned him a Young Artist Award. However, it was his breakthrough performance in the psychological thriller film The Sixth Sense (1999) that catapulted him to fame. This role garnered him numerous accolades, including a Saturn Award and nominations for an Academy Award, Golden Globe Award, and Screen Actors Guild Award. Osment's other notable films include Pay It Forward (2000), A.I. Artificial Intelligence (2001), and Secondhand Lions (2003), for which he won a Critics Choice Award. In addition to his film work, Osment has lent his voice to the popular video game franchise Kingdom Hearts as the protagonist Sora and the villain Vanitas in the English versions of the games.
