Henry Louis Aaron, also known as 'Hammer' or 'Hammerin' Hank', was an American professional baseball player who played 23 seasons in Major League Baseball (MLB) from 1954 to 1976. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest baseball players in history. Aaron spent the majority of his career with the Milwaukee / Atlanta Braves in the National League (NL) and also played for the Milwaukee Brewers in the American League (AL). Known for his power-hitting abilities, Aaron held the record for the most career home runs for 33 years, surpassing Babe Ruth's long-standing record. He also holds several other MLB records, including the most career RBIs, extra base hits, and total bases. Aaron's consistency and power made him one of the most accomplished players of his time.
