He gained recognition for portraying Herbert Pelham, 7th Marquess of Hexham, on the popular television series Downton Abbey. He also appeared as Martin Charteris in The Crown. Hadden-Paton received critical acclaim for his portrayal of Henry Higgins in the Broadway revival of My Fair Lady, earning a nomination for the 2018 Tony Award for Best Actor in a Musical.
