Honor Blackman Biography
Honor Blackman (22 August 1925 – 5 April 2020) was an English actress known for her roles in various films and TV shows. She gained recognition for portraying Cathy Gale in The Avengers (1962–1964) and as Bond girl Pussy Galore in Goldfinger (1964). Blackman also starred as Julia Daggett in Shalako (1968) and Hera in Jason and the Argonauts (1963). In addition to her film work, she played the character Laura West in the ITV sitcom The Upper Hand (1990–1996). Born in Plaistow, London, Blackman attended North Ealing Primary School and Ealing County Grammar School for Girls. She later trained at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Blackman's career included appearances in both theater and film, showcasing her diverse talent.
