Ira Glass

Ira Jeffrey Glass is an American public radio personality born on March 3, 1959. He is best known as the host and producer of the radio and television series This American Life. Glass has been involved in other NPR programs, including Morning Edition, All Things Considered, and Talk of the Nation. With his contributions to radio and television, Glass has received numerous awards, such as the Edward R. Murrow Award for Outstanding Contributions to Public Radio and the George Polk Award in Radio Reporting. Starting out in radio as a teenager, Glass worked as a story editor and interviewer before covering his own stories. Originally from Baltimore, he now resides in Chicago.
