Jack Hanna

Jack Hanna is a retired American zookeeper and former director emeritus of the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium. Born on January 2, 1947, in Knoxville, Tennessee, Hanna grew up on his family's farm and developed a passion for animals at a young age. He attended The Kiski School in Pennsylvania for high school and later studied business and political science at Muskingum College in Ohio. Hanna served as the director of the Columbus Zoo from 1978 to 1992, during which he significantly improved its quality and reputation. He is renowned for his appearances on various media platforms, including shows hosted by David Letterman, James Corden, Good Morning America, and Maury Povich, establishing himself as a prominent animal expert in the United States.
