Jackie Swanson Biography
Jackie Swanson (born June 25, 1963) is an American actress. She is best known for her role as Kelly Gaines, the rich and simple love interest of Woody Boyd, on the American sitcom Cheers. Swanson also appeared in the first Lethal Weapon movie as Amanda Hunsaker. In 1985, she made her professional debut in the Prince video for 'Raspberry Beret.' Swanson performed a free-fall stunt from 35 feet into an airbag for the movie Lethal Weapon, under the training of stuntman Dar Robinson. She has worked with cinematographer Steven Goldblatt on multiple occasions, including the films Lethal Weapon and Charlie Wilson's War. Swanson joined the cast of Cheers in 1989.
