Jared Fogle

Jared Scott Fogle (born August 23, 1977) is an American former spokesman for Subway restaurants. Fogle appeared in Subway's advertising campaigns from 2000 to 2015. He gained popularity after losing 245 lb between 1998 and 1999 while being a student at Indiana University. Fogle's weight loss journey, which included frequenting Subway restaurants, led to him being hired as a spokesperson. He appeared in over 300 commercials during his 15-year tenure with Subway, as well as making other media appearances. However, in 2015, an FBI investigation resulted in Fogle being convicted of engaging in child sex tourism and possessing child pornography. He pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 15 years and 8 months in federal prison.
