Jay Acovone (born August 20, 1955) is an American actor known for his extensive work in film and television. He rose to fame for his role as Charles Kawalsky in the popular TV series Stargate SG-1. Acovone was born in New York City but later moved to Mahopac, New York, where his parents owned a dry-cleaning business. With over 100 credits to his name, he has had a successful career spanning four decades. Some of his notable television appearances include Search for Tomorrow, Beauty and the Beast, and Hollywood Beat.
