Jay Bontatibus Biography
Jay Bontatibus (July 31, 1964 – February 12, 2017) was an American actor known for his roles in various soap operas and television shows. He was born and raised in Cheshire, Connecticut and developed an interest in acting while attending Central Connecticut State University. Bontatibus joined the cast of The Young and the Restless in 1998, portraying the character Tony Viscardi until 2000. He also appeared as Andy Capelli in General Hospital from 2002 to 2004, and as Rob McCullough in Days of Our Lives in 2008. Bontatibus made guest appearances on popular shows such as Cold Case, CSI: Miami, Walker, Texas Ranger, and Sabrina, the Teenage Witch. He passed away on February 12, 2017, after battling cancer.
