Jay Chandrasekhar (born April 9, 1968) is an American comedian, film director, screenwriter, and actor. He gained recognition for his work with the sketch comedy group Broken Lizard and directing and starring in films such as Super Troopers, Club Dread, Beerfest, and Super Troopers 2. Chandrasekhar has also made notable contributions as a television director, having directed episodes of popular shows like Community and The Goldbergs. In addition to his work with Broken Lizard, he has directed the 2005 film The Dukes of Hazzard. Born in Chicago to Indian parents, Chandrasekhar's family background is of Tamil origin. Both his parents are physicians from Chennai, India.
