Jemma Redgrave is a British actress known for her roles in television, film, and stage productions. Born on 14 January 1965 in London, she comes from the prestigious Redgrave family. Redgrave played the title character in the TV series Bramwell and has a recurring role as Kate Stewart in Doctor Who, where she portrays the Head of Scientific Research at UNIT. She has also appeared in various stage productions and films, including her role as Evie Wilcox in the Merchant Ivory film Howards End. Redgrave attended the Godolphin and Latymer school in Hammersmith before studying at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. Since then, she has established herself as a talented and versatile actress.
