Jim Morris is an American former professional baseball pitcher who played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for two seasons with the Tampa Bay Devil Rays. Born on January 19, 1964, in Brownwood, Texas, Morris began playing baseball at a young age and went on to have a successful career. However, his most notable achievement came at the age of 35 when he made his MLB debut, despite undergoing multiple arm surgeries. Morris' inspiring story was later portrayed in the 2002 film 'The Rookie.' Throughout his childhood, he moved to different cities due to his father's role in the United States Navy.
