James Christian Kimmel, born November 13, 1967, is an American television host, comedian, writer, and producer. He is best known as the host and executive producer of Jimmy Kimmel Live!, an ABC late-night talk show that premiered on January 26, 2003. Kimmel has also hosted the Primetime Emmy Awards in 2012, 2016, and 2020, as well as the Academy Awards in 2017, 2018, and 2023. Prior to hosting his own show, Kimmel co-hosted Comedy Central's The Man Show and Win Ben Stein's Money. He has also produced several shows, including Crank Yankers, Sports Show with Norm Macdonald, and The Andy Milonakis Show. In 2018, Time recognized Kimmel as one of 'The World's 100 Most Influential People.'
