John Stephen Goodman (born June 20, 1952) is an American actor known for his work in both television and film. He has received several awards including a Primetime Emmy Award, Golden Globe Award, and a Screen Actors Guild Award. Goodman has collaborated with the Coen brothers, appearing in films such as Raising Arizona (1987), Barton Fink (1991), The Big Lebowski (1998), O Brother, Where Art Thou?
