John Stamos

John Phillip Stamos is an American actor and musician, born on August 19, 1963. He first gained recognition for his role as Blackie Parrish on the ABC soap opera General Hospital, earning a Daytime Emmy Award nomination. Stamos is best known for his starring role as Jesse Katsopolis on the ABC sitcom Full House. Following the show's finale in 1995, he has appeared in numerous TV films and series. From 2005 to 2009, he starred as Dr. Tony Gates on the NBC medical drama ER. Stamos has also had a successful career on Broadway, playing roles in Bye Bye Birdie and Gore Vidal's The Best Man. He has been the national spokesperson for Project Cuddle since 2005.
