John Steadman
John Steadman (February 14, 1927 – January 1, 2001) was an American sportswriter for The Baltimore Sun. He attended and reported on every Super Bowl from its inception until his death, making him one of only eight writers to achieve this feat. Steadman began his career as a sports reporter for the Baltimore News-Post in 1945, earning 14 dollars a week. He was known for his extensive coverage of Baltimore football, attending every Baltimore Football game from 1947 to December 10, 2000, a streak of 719 games. Steadman's contributions to sports journalism were recognized with his induction into the National Sportswriters and Sportscasters Hall of Fame in 2000.
