John George Terry (born December 7, 1980) is an English professional football coach and former player known for his position as a centre-back. He captained Chelsea, the England national team, and Aston Villa during his career. Terry is considered one of the greatest defenders of his generation and is regarded as one of the best English and Premier League defenders ever. He received numerous accolades, including being named UEFA Club Defender of the Year in 2005, 2008, and 2009, and PFA Players' Player of the Year in 2005. Terry led Chelsea to numerous victories during his 19-year tenure, including five Premier League titles, five FA Cups, and one UEFA Champions League title.
