Johnny Unitas
John Constantine Unitas, also known as Johnny Unitas, was an American football quarterback who played in the National Football League (NFL) for 18 seasons, primarily with the Baltimore Colts. Born on May 7, 1933, he had a remarkable career from 1956 to 1973, earning a spot amongst the greatest NFL players of all time. Unitas set numerous NFL records and was honored as the Most Valuable Player three times. He led the Colts to four championship titles, including a victory in Super Bowl V. Notably, Unitas held the record for most consecutive games with a touchdown pass for 52 years. With his iconic nickname, 'Johnny U' and 'the Golden Arm', he is considered the prototype of the modern era marquee quarterbacks.
