Josef Altin (born Yusuf Altın on February 12, 1983) is a British television and film actor known for his roles in popular shows and movies. He gained recognition for his portrayal of Pypar in the HBO fantasy TV series Game of Thrones. Altin's notable performances include his role as Ekrem in Eastern Promises, as well as appearances in The Bill, Peep Show, and Casualty. He also starred in D.C. Moore's play The Empire at the Royal Court Theatre in London. Altin's talent was first showcased in the drama series Psychos and he later appeared in the major British television series Blackpool. Born to a Turkish family in London, Altin continues to be a sought-after actor with a diverse range of roles.
