Josh Groban is an American singer, songwriter, and actor. Born on February 27, 1981, Groban's first four solo albums have achieved multi-platinum certification. In 2007, he was recognized as the number-one best-selling artist in the United States, with over 22.3 million records sold. To date, Groban has sold over 25 million records globally. Initially studying acting, Groban shifted his focus to singing as his voice developed. He attended the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts, where he received a conservatory-style education. Groban gained attention when he stood in for Andrea Bocelli to rehearse a duet with Celine Dion at the 1998 Grammy Awards. Subsequently, he appeared on Rosie O'Donnell's talk show and was invited to sing at California Governor Gray Davis' 1999 inauguration. Groban's acting credits include a role on the television show Ally McBeal.
