Joy Bryant (born October 18, 1974) is an American actress, businesswoman, and fashion model. She began her career as a fashion model, appearing in ads for brands like Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfiger, Gap, and Victoria's Secret. In 2001, she made her film debut in Carmen: A Hip Hopera and gained recognition for her role as a U.S. Navy sailor in Antwone Fisher (2002), directed by Denzel Washington. Bryant has appeared in several films, including Spider-Man 2 (2004), The Skeleton Key, and Get Rich or Die Tryin' (both 2005), and Bobby (2006). She has been nominated for two NAACP Image Awards and one Screen Actors Guild Award. Bryant also had a recurring guest role on the TV series ER and portrayed Jasmine Trussell in the NBC drama Parenthood from 2010 onwards.
