Julia Garner (born February 1, 1994) is an American actress. She gained recognition for her portrayal of Ruth Langmore in the Netflix crime drama series Ozark (2017–2022), winning three Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series and a Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actress. Garner also appeared in The Americans (2015–2018), Maniac (2018), and Dirty John (2018–2019). In 2022, she starred as Anna Sorokin in the Netflix miniseries Inventing Anna, earning nominations for another Primetime Emmy Award and Golden Globe for Best Actress. Garner's film credits include Grandma (2015), The Assistant (2019), Martha Marcy May Marlene (2011), The Perks of Being a Wallflower (2012), and Sin City: A Dame to Kill For (2014).
