Kate Walsh

Kate Walsh, born Kathleen Erin Walsh on October 13, 1967, is an American actress known for her versatile roles in various TV shows. She gained widespread recognition for her portrayal of Dr. Addison Montgomery in the ABC medical drama series Grey's Anatomy (2005–2012, 2021–present) and its spin-off Private Practice (2007–2013). Walsh's notable TV appearances also include playing Nicki Fifer in The Drew Carey Show (1997–2002), Rebecca Wright in Bad Judge (2014–2015), Olivia Baker in 13 Reasons Why (2017–2019), The Handler in The Umbrella Academy (2019–2022), and Madeline Wheeler in Emily in Paris (2020–present). Born in San Jose, California, Walsh grew up in Tucson, Arizona, in a Catholic household. She attended Catalina Magnet High School and initially studied acting at the University of Arizona before leaving.
