Kathy Griffin

Kathy Griffin, born Kathleen Mary Griffin on November 4, 1960, is an American comedian and actress. She gained fame through her stand-up comedy performances and has released six Grammy-nominated comedy albums. Griffin rose to further prominence with her reality show Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List, which won her two Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Reality Program in 2007 and 2008. She has also appeared in supporting roles in various films. Griffin started her career in Los Angeles, studying drama at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute and performing with The Groundlings comedy troupe. She made guest appearances on shows like Suddenly Susan (1996–2000).
