Katie Couric, born Katherine Anne Couric on January 7, 1957, is an American journalist and presenter. She is the founder of Katie Couric Media, a multimedia news and production company, and publishes a daily newsletter called Wake Up Call. Couric has had an illustrious career, working as a television host for all of the Big Three television networks in the United States. She started her career as an assignment editor for CNN and went on to work for NBC News from 1989 to 2006, CBS News from 2006 to 2011, and ABC News from 2011 to 2014. Couric made history in 2021 when she became the first woman to host the flagship American version of the game show Jeopardy! as a guest host. She has also hosted her own syndicated daytime talk show, Katie, from 2012 to 2014.
