Khanyi Mbau

Khanyisile Mbau is a South African actress, musician, television presenter, and socialite. She gained recognition for her roles as Doobsie on SABC 2's soap opera Muvhango (2004–2005), Mbali on the SABC 1 soap opera Mzansi, and Tshidi on Mzansi Magic's Abomama. She is also the host of the SABC 3 entertainment show The Scoop and The Big Secret on BET Africa. Born on October 16, 1985, Mbau's mother worked in the finance department at Barclays Bank, and her father named her Khanyisile, meaning 'one who brings light.' Raised by her grandparents in Mofolo, Soweto, Mbau's upbringing was influenced by their Western perspective and fashion sense.
