    Lenny Dykstra, born Leonard Kyle Dykstra on February 10, 1963, is a former American professional baseball center fielder. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the New York Mets (1985–1989) and Philadelphia Phillies (1989–1996). Dykstra was a three-time All-Star and was part of the 1986 Mets team that won the World Series championship. After retiring from baseball, Dykstra faced numerous financial and legal issues, including filing for bankruptcy in 2009 and being arrested and charged with bankruptcy fraud, grand theft auto, drug possession, and indecent exposure. He served 6 1⁄2 months in federal prison. Dykstra was born in Santa Ana, California and was adopted by Dennis Dykstra. He has two brothers, Brian and Kevin.
