Leslie Nielsen

Leslie William Nielsen (11 February 1926 – 28 November 2010) was a Canadian actor and comedian known for his deadpan comedy roles. He appeared in over 100 films and 150 television programs, portraying more than 220 characters. Born in Regina, Saskatchewan, Nielsen enlisted in the Royal Canadian Air Force during World War II. After his discharge, he studied theatre and made his acting debut in 1950. Nielsen gained recognition for his serious performances in films like Forbidden Planet and The Poseidon Adventure. However, he became renowned for his comedic roles in the 1980s and 1990s. His notable works include the comedy films Airplane! and The Naked Gun series. Nielsen's career spanned 60 years and left a lasting impact on the entertainment industry.
