Liam Neeson

Liam Neeson is a Northern Irish actor known for his versatile performances in film and theatre. Born on June 7, 1952, Neeson has garnered numerous accolades throughout his career, including nominations for an Academy Award, a BAFTA Award, three Golden Globe Awards, and two Tony Awards. He gained recognition for his roles in films such as Excalibur (1981), The Bounty (1984), The Mission (1986), and Husbands and Wives (1992). However, Neeson's breakthrough came with his portrayal of Oskar Schindler in Steven Spielberg's Schindler's List (1993), which earned him an Academy Award nomination for Best Actor. He has also appeared in notable films such as Nell (1994), Rob Roy (1995), Michael Collins (1996), and Les Misérables (1998). Neeson's diverse career includes blockbuster roles like Qui-Gon Jinn in Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace (1999). In 2020, he was recognized as one of Ireland's 50 Greatest Film Actors by The Irish Times. Neeson was honored with the appointment of Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in 2000.
