Loretta Lynn (Webb; April 14, 1932 – October 4, 2022) was an American country music singer and songwriter. With a career spanning six decades, Lynn released multiple gold albums and had numerous hits including "Hey Loretta", "The Pill", and "Coal Miner's Daughter". She received many awards and accolades for her groundbreaking role in country music, including honors from the Country Music Association and Academy of Country Music. Lynn was also the most awarded female country recording artist and the only female ACM Artist of the Decade. In addition to her music career, Lynn's life was the inspiration for the 1980 musical film Coal Miner's Daughter.
