Lorraine Ashbourne (born January 7, 1961) is an English actress known for her appearances in various British series and television films. Some of her notable TV credits include The Street, True Dare Kiss, Thin Ice, In a Land of Plenty, Boon, Playing the Field, and The Bill. Ashbourne has also worked as a stage actor, regularly performing at the Royal Exchange Theatre in Manchester. She has portrayed roles like Kate Hardcastle in She Stoops to Conquer and Emilia in Othello. Additionally, Ashbourne narrated Happy Birthday BBC Two in 2004. In July 2002, she married actor Andy Serkis, and the couple has three children, all of whom are actors.
