She is well-known as one half of the Topp Twins, a music comedy duo, along with her twin sister Jools Topp. Lynda and Jools have been performing together for decades, entertaining audiences with their live music and comedy shows. They have also appeared in various TV shows and films. In 2018, both sisters were appointed Dames Companion of the New Zealand Order of Merit. Lynda Topp grew up on a dairy farm in Waikato and attended Ruawaro Combined School. She started singing with her sister at a young age and continued to pursue a career in entertainment.
