Malcolm Terris Biography
Malcolm Terris (11 January 1941 – 6 June 2020) was an English actor known for his work in both film and television. He gained recognition for his role as Matt Headley in the popular 1970s series 'When the Boat Comes In'. Terris appeared in several films, including 'Special Branch' (1973), 'The First Great Train Robbery' (1978), 'McVicar' (1980), and 'Chaplin' (1992), among others. On television, he made notable appearances in 'Doctor Who' (1979–80), 'Rooms' (1974), 'Reilly, Ace of Spies' (1983), 'Coronation Street' (early 1990s), and 'Midsomer Murders' (2011). Prior to his acting career, Terris worked as a trainee reporter in Sunderland.
