Marcia Mitzman Gaven is an American actress known for her work on Broadway. Born on February 28, 1959, in New York, she studied at the High School of Performing Arts and the State University of New York at Purchase. Gaven made her Broadway debut in 1979 as Betty Rizzo in Grease, replacing the original actress in the role. Throughout the 1980s, she appeared in several musicals, including The Rocky Horror Show, Oliver!, Zorba, Nine, Anything Goes, Chess, and Welcome to the Club. Gaven also showcased her talent in operas such as Brigadoon, South Pacific, and Sweeney Todd. In 1992, she received critical acclaim for her performance as Mrs. Walker in The Who's Tommy, earning a Tony Award nomination for Best Featured Actress in a Musical.
