Martina Laird Biography
Martina Laird is a Trinidadian British actress, director, and acting teacher. She was born in Port of Spain, Trinidad, in 1971. Laird developed an interest in Drama at a young age and studied with local luminaries such as Beryl McBurnie. At the age of 17, she went to England on a national scholarship to study French at the University of Kent, where she also pursued Drama. Laird attended the Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art on the advice of Derek Walcott. She started her acting career on stage and later appeared in popular TV series like Casualty, Holby City, and EastEnders.
