Marv Albert
Marv Albert (born Marvin Philip Aufrichtig; June 12, 1941) is an American former sportscaster and member of the Basketball Hall of Fame. Known as 'the voice of basketball', Albert gained recognition as 'the voice of the New York Knicks' from 1967 to 2004. He served as the lead announcer for NBA games on TNT, working extensively in both professional and college basketball. Additionally, Albert has called a variety of other sports including American football, ice hockey, horse racing, boxing, and tennis. With an impressive resume, he has called eight Super Bowls, nine NBA Finals, seven Stanley Cup Finals, and the Wimbledon Tennis Championships. Albert comes from a family of broadcasters, with his brothers Al and Steve Albert, and son Kenny, also being play-by-play sports commentators.
