Matthew Nable, born on March 8, 1972, is an Australian actor, writer, sports commentator, and former professional rugby league player. He gained recognition after playing in the Winfield Cup Premiership for the Manly-Warringah and South Sydney clubs in the 1990s. Nable wrote and starred in the rugby league-centered drama film 'The Final Winter' in 2007. He has appeared in various films including 'Killer Elite' and 'Riddick.' On television, Nable has been seen in popular shows such as The CW's 'Arrow' and 'Legends of Tomorrow' where he portrayed the character Ra's al Ghul. Alongside his acting career, he is also known as an author. Nable is often credited as Matt Nable, a name he used during his sports career. He grew up in Sydney and has a background in rugby league, as his father was a trainer for the Australian national team and his brother became a professional player too.
