Max Greenfield is an American actor, born on September 4, 1979, in Dobbs Ferry, New York. He rose to prominence with recurring roles in Veronica Mars and Ugly Betty. However, Greenfield gained widespread recognition for his portrayal of Schmidt in the Fox sitcom New Girl, which earned him nominations at the Primetime Emmy Awards, the Golden Globe Awards, and the Critics' Choice Television Awards. Since 2018, he has been playing the character of Dave Johnson in the CBS sitcom The Neighborhood. Greenfield has also lent his voice to characters in popular shows like Bob's Burgers, Robot Chicken, and BoJack Horseman. Prior to his acting career, he played as a wide receiver for the Dobbs Ferry High School football team.
