Meredith Brooks
Meredith Ann Brooks (born June 12, 1958) is an American singer-songwriter and guitarist. She gained international recognition in the 1990s with her solo album Blurring the Edges, featuring the hit single 'Bitch' which reached the top 10 in multiple countries. Born in Oregon, Brooks began her music career in the mid-1970s as a member of the all-female band Sapphire. After the band split in 1982, she moved to Los Angeles to pursue a solo career. In 1986, she released her self-titled debut album, but it achieved limited success. However, with the release of Blurring the Edges, Brooks became a Grammy Award-nominated artist and made a significant impact on the music industry.
