Michael Cochrane Biography
Michael Dundonald Cochrane (born 19 May 1947) is an English actor known for his roles in television and radio. He was born in Brighton, East Sussex and attended Cranleigh School for his education. Cochrane is widely recognized for his portrayal of Oliver Sterling in the Radio 4 soap opera The Archers and as Lieutenant Charles Gaylion in the BBC television series Wings (1977–78). He has made two appearances in the iconic BBC science fiction series Doctor Who, playing Charles Cranleigh in Black Orchid (1982) and Redvers Fenn-Cooper in Ghost Light (1989). Cochrane has also appeared in various Big Finish Productions audio dramas related to Doctor Who.
