Sir Michael Edward Palin is an English actor, comedian, writer, and television presenter. Born on May 5, 1943, Palin is best known as a member of the Monty Python comedy group. He began his television career working on shows such as the Ken Dodd Show, The Frost Report, and Do Not Adjust Your Set. Alongside John Cleese, Eric Idle, Terry Gilliam, Terry Jones, and Graham Chapman, Palin became a part of the iconic Monty Python's Flying Circus from 1969 to 1974. He acted in memorable Python sketches like 'Argument Clinic' and 'Dead Parrot sketch.' Palin co-wrote and starred in films such as Monty Python and the Holy Grail (1975), Life of Brian (1979), and The Meaning of Life (1983). He received the BAFTA Fellowship in 2013 and was knighted by Queen Elizabeth II in 2019.
