Natalia Cordova-Buckley

Natalia Cordova-Buckley (born November 25, 1982) is a Mexican-American actress. She is best known for her role as Elena 'Yo-Yo' Rodriguez / Slingshot in the ABC superhero drama series Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (2013–2020). Cordova-Buckley was born in Mexico City and raised in Cancún. She comes from a family with a background in the entertainment industry; her grandfather was Pancho Córdova, a notable actor in Mexican and American cinema. Initially trained as a ballet dancer under Fernando Alonso, Cordova-Buckley later pursued a career in acting. Despite being teased about her voice in her youth, she embraced her strong personality and outspoken nature, ultimately finding success in the world of television and film.
