Niecy Nash, born Carol Denise Betts on February 23, 1970, is an American actress and television host. She gained recognition in the late 1990s with roles in films such as Boys on the Side (1995) and Cookie's Fortune (1999). Nash is best known for her portrayal of Deputy Raineesha Williams in the comedy series Reno 911! (2003–2009, 2020–present) and as the host of the Style Network show Clean House (2003—2010), for which she won a Daytime Emmy Award. She received two Primetime Emmy Awards nominations for her role in the HBO comedy-drama series Getting On (2013–2015). Nash also appeared in The Soul Man (2012–2016), Scream Queens (2015–2016), and starred as Desna Simms in the crime comedy-drama Claws (2017–2022), for which she received a Satellite Award for Best Actress.
