Nigel Bennett is an English and Canadian actor, director, and writer who has been based in Canada since 1986. Born on 19 November 1949 in Wolverhampton, Staffordshire, Bennett began his acting career at the age of eleven. He gained fifteen years of stage experience in Britain before relocating to Canada. Bennett is best known for his role as vampire patriarch Lucien LaCroix in the TV series Forever Knight, for which he won the Canadian Gemini Award for Best Supporting Actor in a dramatic series. In addition to his notable TV role, Bennett has appeared in major films such as Murder at 1600 and The Skulls, and has had recurring roles in shows like Kung Fu: The Legend Continues and Lexx.
