Nik Xhelilaj

Nik Xhelilaj, born Kreshnik Xhelilaj on 5 March 1983, is an Albanian actor. He gained international recognition for his role in the film 'The Sorrow of Mrs. Schneider.' Xhelilaj has been the leading actor in three highly acclaimed Albanian films, two of which were submitted for consideration for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film. Throughout his career, he has received multiple 'Best Actor' awards at various international film festivals. Born in Tirana, Xhelilaj comes from a family with a military background. He briefly pursued a military career but decided to return to Albania and focus on acting.
