    Nimmi Harasgama is a British-Sri Lankan actor, writer, and producer. She gained recognition for her role as Nurse Mari in the ITV drama series The Good Karma Hospital, which earned her a nomination for Best Drama Performance at the British National Television Awards. Nimmi made her screen debut in the English movie Mother Teresa in 1997. She then ventured into Sri Lankan cinema, starring as the lead in the Sinhalese film Ira Madiyama in 2003, for which she received critical acclaim and several awards. Nimmi was born in Colombo, Sri Lanka and later moved to the UK. She attended the Westwood House School for Girls and studied at Goldsmiths, University of London.
