Patti LuPone

Patti Ann LuPone (born April 21, 1949) is an American actress and singer known for her work in musical theater. She made her Broadway debut in 1973 and has since gained acclaim for her leading performances on both Broadway and the West End. LuPone has won three Tony Awards, two Olivier Awards, and two Grammy Awards. She is best known for her roles as Eva Perón in Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber's 'Evita' in 1980 and as Rose in 'Gypsy' in 2008. Her other notable Broadway performances include 'Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street' in 2006 and 'War Paint' in 2017. In addition to her stage work, LuPone has appeared in several films and television shows.
