Paul Mescal Biography
Paul Mescal (born February 2, 1996) is an Irish actor known for his role in the miniseries Normal People (2020). Born in Maynooth, Mescal studied acting at The Lir Academy and performed in Dublin theaters before gaining fame. He earned a BAFTA TV Award and received a Primetime Emmy Award nomination for his performance in Normal People. Mescal made his film debut in The Lost Daughter (2021) and received praise for his roles in God's Creatures and Aftersun (2022). His performance in Aftersun earned him nominations for an Academy Award and a BAFTA Film Award. Mescal also won a Laurence Olivier Award for his portrayal of Stanley Kowalski in a revival of A Streetcar Named Desire (2022).
